What is the spot composite screen?

The spot composite screen shows the best bid and offer on selected bonds. It also includes extra information such as total volume on the bid, and volume at one basis point away from the bid. Users can choose what they want to see.



What is the spot depth screen?

The spot depth screen shows the depth on any selected instruments, displaying all the prices in the market. Bids and offers are displayed in price and time priority from best to worst. The source of the price is also displayed.



What is the reported trades ticker?

The reported trades ticker is updated from the BTB platform and displays all trades as they are reported. Only the instrument, the volume and the rate are displayed.



What is the screen ticker?

The screen trade ticker displays all trades given or taken on ZA Prices. Also displayed are:

  • the instrument
  • the volume
  • the rate
  • the change from the last trade
  • the type of trade (G/T)
  • the source

All members or service providers who quote a price on the screen are obliged to indicate when that price is traded.



How do I select instruments?

To select the bonds, right click anywhere in the Spot Composite window . The screen below will appear.

Select the instruments you want to view from the left column of available instruments. The up-down arrows allow you to arrange the order of the bonds. You can select as few or as many bonds as you want from the available instruments. Use this function whenever you want to re-arrange the order of the instruments displayed.
